Shabo, Odesa Region, 15 November: Since inception of its activities in Odesa region, a joint EU/UNDP CBA Project has held competitive selection of 8 pilot districts and 40 village/city councils. In November, cooperation with local communities started in order to help them in self-organization, capacity building and preparation of project proposals to improve their living conditions.

Rakhiv, 11-13 November: The participants in the International Conference “Development of the Protected Area System in Ukraine and Formation of the Pan-European Ecological Network”, which was co-organized by a UNDP/GEF Project, have called to introduce immediate measures for improving governance and financial system of protected areas of Ukraine. This was announced in the Conference Resolution.

Kyiv, 12 November: A joint EU-UNDP Project "Consumer Society and Citizen Networks" has announced about a new wave of consumer public advertising which started from beginning of November 2008 in Kyiv. It urges Ukrainian consumers to more carefully study information on labels of the products they buy.
