Wear Green – Make the First Step to Fight Against Climate Change

Friday, September 25th, of the Ukrainian Climate Week is a "Wear Green" day - a day of symbolic demonstration of active position towards environment when participants of the Climate Week will wear something green for universities, offices, parties or outside activities. On this day, UN office in Ukraine and World Wildlife Fund support Wear Green Flash Mobs throughout the country. Read

UNDP, UN Voluteers organise International Youth Day celebrations in Ukraine

Kyiv - Pryvorottya - Ovruch - Ivankiv: United Nations Development Programme in the frame of the Youth Social Inclusion for Civic Engagement in Ukraine project has organised several events devoted to the celebration of International Youth Day, including "Youth for Youth" camp, "Volunteers of Zhytomyr region" summer school and a festive programme in the village of Ivankiv, Kyiv Region. UNDP Supports "Clean Hills of Dnipro" Volunteer Youth Camp

Cherkassy: From 27 to 31 July, 2009, 24 volunteers ages 16-25 from Cherkasy region worked on the riverside and forested areas along the Dnipro River near the village of Sokyrne in Cherkasy. In this way the organisers, UNDP project “Youth Social Inclusion for Civic Engagement”, Cherkasy Region Youth Resource Centre, Oblast Department of Family, Youth and Sports, and Cherkasy National University, taught  young people about the problems and solutions regarding pollution. Youth social inclusion project presented in Ukraine

Zhytomir Oblast, Ukraine: The implementation of the 'Youth Social Inclusion for Civic Engagement' project has started at the regional level in Ukraine. The project was launched in September 2008 with the overall objective of supporting youth social inclusion and civic engagement.

The project will develop key social competencies, which are needed for proactive youth involvement in society and decision-making processes, thus providing support to further enhancement of the Government's youth policy in Ukraine.
