An afternoon was held with refugee children in Kiev on the occasion of International Volunteer Day, 2005.

This was a one-day event to sensitise refugees and children of asylum seekers on the importance of volunteering to help themselves. It was held in Kyiv, during the International Volunteer Day, December 5.

In preparation to this event, information was disseminated among Ukrainian students (of schools or institutes) proposing to participate in this event and participate in its organisation voluntarily.
