I am responsible for activities aimed at raising awareness on HIV/AIDS in different areas of Ukraine. In cooperation with local NGOs and international organisations, we mobilise communities and support them in carrying out several kinds of activities to improve their lives. I interact with different social groups, including school children and students. In particular, I help them to build partnerships and to plan and implement joint activities, such as info-cultural festivals and school contests.

I have been a UNV in Ukraine since November 2005, and I found this a great opportunity to gain new experience. I have met many nice people and I am learning every day new things. I am often surprised by the great potential Ukraine offers in terms of volunteering. I hope that my stay in Ukraine will bring benefit to the people and communities I am working with, besides contributing to the development of my professional skills.
