Ukraine: Organized by the youth organization Alter-Sport and the 'Young Football Volunteers' project, the Youth Forum "Solving Youth Problems Together" hosted 65 participants to discuss youth-related issues and share experiences in addressing the problems of youth, focusing on positive practices of healthy lifestyle and meaningful leisure activities. Football tournament held by the Project “Young Football Volunteers: Sport and Volunteering for MDG”

Crimea, Ukraine: On October 27, 2012 “Fiolent” Stadium in Simferopol, Ukraine gathered 36 young people from Mykolaiv, Kherson oblasts and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to participate in inter-regional football tournament.  The tournament aimed to promote “Fair Play” methodology and foster peer-to-peer exchange among young people.  The event was held in the framework of  “Young Football Volunteers: Sport and Volunteering for MDG” (YFV) project, supported by UN Volunteers Programme, UN Office on Sport for Development and Peace, UN Development Programme, Ukraine’s Football Federation, State Service for Youth and Sports (SSYS) and German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). School trainers to promote youth development through football in rural areas

Young Football Volunteers project (YFV) held their first Training of Trainers. The training was organized in cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) and State Service on Youth and Sports. Sixteen teachers of physical education and youth football coaches from rural areas of AR Crimea, Kherson and Mykolayiv oblasts were trained on Youth Development through Football methodology (YDF) or “Fair Play”. Lutsk-based “Garmyder" theatre promotes volunteering in regional towns
